Somebody, please take that tiny brush away from me..
I wouldn't say this is finished but I'm leaving it as it is.

This was less painful than I expected :-)) Nearly done, I just need to take a break and come back to it in a day or two. I have a feeling I made myself look like a leper but I'm not quite sure why. Maybe it's because I didn't really know what I was doing and I kept poking the painting with a teeny tiny brush with every single color of the rainbow for hours to no end.
The pic was taken indoors and it doesn't really show the proper colors and contrast (the background color is  bright turquise for example). I'll try to take a better picture when the painting is finished.

I'm trying to get my Painting Mojo back. I haven't as much as touched a painting since before Christmas and it became quite depressing at this point.
It's pretty hard to draw/paint laughing people. There's usually wrinkles, horrible teeth, a joker-like grin, flared nostrils, double chins, the horror!... So I'm experimenting on my own face as I'm not quite prepared to loose friends.
Here is the initial sketch/underpainting. No idea where this is going...

The Cafe was my favourite gig to work on, ever! Probably because the crew absolutely rocked :-))))
. It was on air already for 2 years when I was asked to radically change the look of the set. I though it would be a good idea to change it into one of these grungy places where anything goes.Where you can write on the walls, splash paint around, where furniture is upside down.  Something that I'd come across back home. So we textured everything OTT, splashed paint around and scratched the walls.
So here are some pics of the set from the dry run years ago, me after the very last episode in front of the neon sign, set in the making in Shadow Creation's workshop and some color references I gave to the guys from Shadow. Also a couple of links to the YouTube videos of the performances. Enjoy!

So I haven't been posting much these days. I don't have much material as I've been a busy bee at work. I'm looking forward to taking some time off to paint and get my bird freak back on again. Until than- here are some pictures of a tv set I did a couple of years ago for a children talent show. Please forgive the watermark, I tried to make as little obnoxious as possible.
The brief was to create simple shapes that would symbolise ice and everything that is cold and frosty. It also had to be able to change it's look in a heartbeat which was achieved by using backlit materials and lighting color changes.  So here are my initial sketch, white model and the finished set in studio.Enjoy!
