Canal Saint-Martin

That last pic? Does not exist anymore. Let's just say it wasn't meant to be... Here's the one from today. It's a memory of Canal Saint Martin and visiting Aga in Paris.

I just started this...

Somebody needs to take away my teeny tiny brush... Anyway, this is the duck pond in Stephen's Green and I literally just started. Will try to finish tomorrow unless successfully distracted.

Finished another one early before work today ( and by early I mean much too early). Actually, I'm not quite sure if it's finished. I don't want to butcher it with a teeny tiny brush ( believe me, I'm tempted) so I'll just leave it alone for a couple of days. I might attack it with the paintbrush on Tuesday.

This is the view from the Millenium Bridge towards the Capel St Bridge. I walk there quite often and each time the place looks completely different.

Lazy Saturday Afternoon

Madly inspired by the works of V on Etsy I finally painted my first proper abstract! I used a picture I took on a Saturday afternoon when me and C decided to spend the day in Stephen's Green. To my horror, so did everyone in Dublin. C switched off with a book in the shade and I took my camera and, in an attempt to ignore all the sun and all the people, I took pictures of nearly every single flower/pigeon in the park.


I really enjoyed painting this one! I feel like painting a series of abstracts for the next couple of weeks. It will create a good balance with the series of charcoals I planned for next week (after loads of convincing and subtle diplomacy I managed to persuade C to pose for me).
